4 alleged drug peddlers
arrested in Makati buy-bust ops
Four alleged drug peddlers were
apprehended by policemen in separate
buy-bust operations in Makati City on
Wednesday night, November 14.
Police identified the suspects as
Vladimir Rafiña, 34, a jeepney
dispatcher; Eunice Labeste, 27, an
office staff; Ricardo Ebrada,48, a
jeepney driver; and Paterno Malonzo,
49, a construction worker.
Investigation showed that around
7:30 p.m., Rafiña and Labeste were
nabbed along Luzon St. in Barangay
Pitogo, Makati.
Undercover policemen transacted
with them following a tip from a
concerned citizen, reports said.
After handing the marked money in
exchange for shabu, other cops then
went out and collared Rafiña and
Labeste.
Recovered from them were nine
sachets of shabu, the marked money,
two improvised tooters, and other
drug paraphernalia.
They then ratted out two other
peddlers selling illegal drugs in the
same barangay.
Around 8 p.m., cops arrested Ebrada
and Malonzo along Palawan St. in
Barangay Pitogo, Makati.
Both of them were also ensnared in a
buy-bust operation.
Police seized five sachets of shabu,
the marked money, an improvised
handgun, three ammunitions of a 12
gauge shotgun, and four caliber .38
ammunition.
All the four accused drug pushers
are now jailed at the Makati police
headquarters’ detention cell. (Jel

Suspected drug user nabbed in
Makati
A suspected drug user was
apprehended by roving village
watchmen together with police
before dawn Wednesday in Makati
City yielding several sachets of illegal
drugs.
Makati City Police identified the
suspect as Ronald Daca, 22, a resident
of Southsea Street, Barangay Rizal,
Makati City.
According to the report, they noticed
that the suspect was acting uneasy and
suspiciously and when approached
by one of them. he saw a transparent
heat-sealed sachet of shabu in the left
hand of the suspect.
During the arrest and frisking, they
recovered five pieces of tea bag sized
sachets of dried marijuana leaves.
The suspect together with the
recovered pieces of evidence were
properly turned over to the Station
Drug Enforcement Unit of the
Makati City Police Station for proper
disposition and filing of cases. (Dhel
