Chris Garcia, franchise owner of the Max’s branch in
Vancouver, flew in from the Philippines with his wife, Diane
and their children, to celebrate the occasion. The Garcias

Max’s meal, just like the ones they have at home. He also
said that the franchise also hired servers for this branch
from the Philippines as part of this authentic presentation
of the restaurant to Vancouverites.
Cecille Pratt, the managing director of Max’s in
Vancouver, all helped launch the newest addition to the
franchise - a Max’s foodtruck that would go around the city
and make the Max’s brand name known to all Vancouverites,
not just Filipinos. She said that it was important to serve the
people of Vancouver Filipino food, one that is much loved
in the city because of the many Filipinos who now work and
live here.●
