PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY WORKSHOP
In order to establish certain theoretical knowledge and as a means to demonstrate the
validity of some hypothesis, a physics and chemistry workshop was held, where
through an experimental methodology, intended to promote interest in these subjects,
as well as to develop the observation capacities of our students. For this, the collabora-
tion of teachers in this field was essential to carry out the following practices:
Physics:
Two special things: a chair and a bicycle wheel.
Our chair is a kind of gyroscope which shows us the conservation of angular mo-
mentum (with weights of gymnastics and a “special chair”).
Wave bucket.
We can observe the propagation of waves in two dimensions. Also we can study
phenomena such as diffraction and interference of waves.
Bottle without stopper.
Although we give the return to bottle the water, it does not fall. The surface tension
of the water helps us.
