Key Action points for Strategic Evaluation Plans Phase 3 : 1 . Increasing the knowledge and confidence of stakeholders on the importance of timely and accurately recording monitoring information and processing evaluation data
2 . Update the SUN evaluation toolkit for consistent and accurate evaluation and to streamline the process for stakeholders alongside improving their confidence and understanding of evaluation and methods .
3 . Development of a regional Equality of Opportunity Risk Register to enable stakeholders to better understand the regional risks and barriers for the young people in our region and to help support the development of collaborative projects
4 . Continue to embed youth voice in our decision-making processes including evaluation themes and methodologies
5 . Work in collaboration with our regional partners and the wider Uni Connect partnerships to continue to develop and share best practices , in particular around evaluating attainment-raising work .
Rationale and Research
The Uni Connect Programme aims to :
• Contribute to reducing the gap in higher education participation between the most and least represented groups
• Equip young people from underrepresented groups to make an informed choice about their options in relation to the full range of routes into and through higher education and to minimise the barriers they may face when choosing the option that will unlock their potential , including barriers relating to academic attainment .
• Support a strategic local infrastructure of universities , colleges and other partners that can cut through competitive barriers , offer an efficient and low-burden route for schools and colleges to
