( WILL hands the radio over to REBEKAH , who bangs it on the attic floor . WILL looks at her in amusement .)
REBEKAH
It sometimes works , okay ?
( REBEKAH presses on again , and sure enough , static starts coming out of the radio , along with a voice that is very , very soft . REBEKAH holds the radio to her ear . She listens for a long , tense moment and then sets the radio down , frustrated .)
REBEKAH Good news . The announcer told us a whole load of nothing .

REBEKAH He said all the expected stuff : emergency responders are being dispatched from around the nation , they ’ re doing their best to get to all of us soon , not to worry , stay where we are , blah blah blah .
WILL That is good though , right ? I mean , at least we know people are coming to rescue us as soon as possible .
REBEKAH Yeah , that ’ s great until you think about the fact that “ as soon as possible ” might not be soon enough for us .
