Meet the bearded dragon

Bearded dragons are hardy, ground-dwelling lizards native to the arid and semi-arid regions of Australia. The most commonly kept species, the Pogona vitticeps, originates from central Australia, where they inhabit open woodlands, scrublands and desert areas. They are diurnal, heliothermic reptiles, meaning they rely on basking in sunlight to regulate their body temperature.
