Help consumers ensure their fish thrive this holiday season
H
oliday season is upon us;
it’s a time to switch off,
unwind and temporarily
forget about our day-to-day
responsibilities. However,
taking a break away sometimes presents a
few logistical problems for fishkeepers who
may struggle to know what’s best for their
fish when leaving their aquarium and pond
unattended. How can they ensure their fish
have easy and reliable access to a balanced
diet with the right level of vitamins and
nourishment?
To help give fishkeepers peace of mind
when on holiday, Tetra, the expert in
fishkeeping, has expanded its popular
Holiday range, with a new ‘Menu’ format for
tropical fish, offering protein-rich pellets and
tasty krill to all ornamental fish for an even
more diverse diet during holiday periods.
The gel food block with BioActive formula
also contains daphnia together with the
essential vitamins, trace elements and

minerals that fish need to stay healthy. Tetra’s
Holiday Menu is also 100% edible, providing
fish with a balanced diet for up to two weeks
without clouding or contaminating waters,
unlike many other holiday foods that are sold
as calcium blocks.
Tetra’s new Holiday Menu also features
new and improved packaging with clearer
descriptions, appealing visuals and simple
icons to highlight key features and a
summary of benefits.
Tetra Holiday Menu will be available from
late June with an RRP of £4.50/30g.

TOP TIP FOR YOUR
CUSTOMERS: ALWAYS
ACCLIMATISE YOUR FISH
Holiday foods are special feed varieties
comprising of gel-based food blocks
which are added to tanks. These
reasonably large blocks last several
days or weeks, ensuring that fish have
a constant and reliable food supply
while their owner is away. A word of
caution though: fussy
fish may not take to
this food immediately.
Your customers should
therefore ideally
acclimatise your pets to it
before going away and
always read the label.
