P.E. Reqirements.

What is your opinion?

By: Maddie S.

P.E. requirements...what do you think about them? Do you think the requirements are fair? Do you like and agree with their requirements?

So here’s the thing, here at L.I.S. the girls P.E. is very limited. We always do the same thing in P.E. for months at a time, like running. You might think “even if it is boring, it is good for you.” Well the thing is, this is P.E., not track, we are supposed to be doing other things than just the same thing for so long. It feels like everyday of P.E. is repeating itself.

In addition, while the girls class is limited during P.E., the boys get to do new, fun activities practically every day. The girls “just might” want to be playing dodgeball or kickball and all the other activities like the boys. Some people say; “the girls have their ways and the boys have theirs.” But, I believe that we should all be treated equally, after all, we are all human.

Furthermore, overall girls P.E. is just not fun. When you finally get out of class, you have more boring work to do in P.E. You would think that they would make at least one part of your day enjoyable by letting us do something we like, or would want to do. Someone once said “It doesn't have to be fun, it's school.” But isn't school for learning? P.E. should be fun, so they might as well make it fun.

So in conclusion, P.E. is pretty unfair. We don’t have fun, and very limited to new things that challenge our brain and body.
