Do you agree with dress code? I highly disagree with dress code because it doesn’t fit everyone’s body type and is unfair to different people. Furthermore, if you are for dress code you may say it doesn’t matter we can’t control that. For example, some people can wear shorter shorts than others because everyone's arms are different lengths. It’s hard for a lot of girls to shop because it’s hard to find long enough shorts. Sometimes you have to cut perfectly good jeans just to get a pair of long enough shorts. In addition, most clothes that follow dress code are more expensive. You might have to go to more expensive stores because cheap stores like Walmart and 2nd Chance have mainly athletic shorts. Sometimes stores like Rue 21 and Target have jeans with holes, frays, or patches on them. When you wear leggings do you have to wear a shirt that covers your backside? That’s a part of our dress code. The shirt may be long enough but it might be too big on the top. Some families can’t replace a pair of jeans, shorts, or a shirt everytime they get holes in them. Do people ever tell you they have nothing to wear but they have the cutest clothes? That’s because they may struggle with dress code. In conclusion, I am against dress code because it doesn’t fit everyone’s body type and some clothes are more expensive than others. It would also make students happier. It’s a fact that when people are happy they are more successful.
