Bipolar disorder is a condition in which a person has periods of depression and periods of being extremely happy or being cheerful or irritable.

Symptoms:

-Easily distracted

-Little need for sleep

-Poor judgment

-Poor temper control

-Reckless behavior

-Very elevated, expansive or irritable mood

Causes:

-Childbirth

-Medicines such as antidepressants or steroids

-Insomnia

-Recreational drug use
