Long term goal

I presently run the 5k race in 26 minutes, by the end of December 2014 I want to be able run it in 23 minutes. I will do this by enagaging in more cardio such as, six 100m sprints and by setting up a 5k route in my neighbour hood so I can time myself every weeks. Also, I will complete an 8 minute tabata crunch 2x a week. I will measure my progress by timing myself, as I do the 5k route around my neighbour hood. My rationale for this goal is to improve my stamina. Since efficient stamina makes a person stronger, I want to improve mine so I can join more sports and workout longer than usual.
