Although 2018 just started, the ongoing
monopoly game of shifting designers
from one fashion house to another, in
hopes of change, reform, and better
profit, is on full throttle. Partaking
another round on the monopoly board
are magazine editors, and contributors;
we’ve all witnessed the shift of how
Edward Enniful was given Alexandra
Shulman’s Editor in Chief position at
British Vogue. What does that mean?
Well, the pressure is definitely on as
we’re currently in a digital sphere scope
at the moment. However, the past
several issues, videos, and social media
tactics have proven that there’s nothing
he can’t overcome.
Picking up on such matters from
a western perspective, here’s how it’s
applied to both our local, and regional
sphere. On the forefront lines, you have
fashion-infatuated millennials who are
embracing their identity, beliefs, and
various opinions through garments that
defy what once was, and embracing
what now is.
