Student Highlights
The 2015-16 school year brought many notable accomplishments from our students. This list is representative of just a few of those outstanding achievements:
• Perkiomen Valley High School student Jordan Alberico, who also attends the North Montco Technical Career Center, won a gold medal in the mechatronics category at the National SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference.
• Seven Perkiomen Valley High School students( Emily Daubenspeck, Layne Gustafson, David Moran, Joshua Noel, Tyler Perla, Hannah Stolpe, Quinn Verbeke) were named Commended Students, and three students( Shaan Kewalramani, Tucker Spencer-Wallace, David Wang) were named Semifinalists in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program. Shaan and Tucker also made it on to the Finalist round of this program.
• The Perkiomen Valley High School Volleyball Team finished the season as the Pioneer Athletic Conference Co-Champions, and made school history by qualifying for the PIAA Class AAA Championships.
• The Perkiomen Valley High School Girls Cross Country Team captured the Pioneer Athletic Conference Championship and had an undefeated season. The team also placed third in the District 1 Championship and won the prestigious PIAA Foundation Meet. Team member Annie Glodek captured the Individual PAC Championship and was the PIAA Foundation Meet Individual Champion.
• Perkiomen Valley High School tennis players Jasmine Morris and Allison Newman won the PAC Tennis Doubles Championship.
• Perkiomen Valley High School golf player Carly Dorminy won the PAC Girls Individual Girls Championship.
• Perkiomen Valley High School students Jessica Avery, Andrew Beattie, and Elisha Long( who also attend North Montco Technical Career Center) won awards at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in the Agricultural Education Horticulture competition.
• The Perkiomen Valley High School Girls Basketball Team won the Pioneer Athletic Conference Championship and also won the District 1 AAAA Championship.
• The Perkiomen Valley High School Girls Swimming and Diving Team won the Pioneer Athletic Conference Championship.
• Emma Muller, Perkiomen Valley High School student, was named winner of the English Speaking Union of Philadelphia’ s Shakespeare Competition.
• Perkiomen Valley High School student Trinity Doerr, who also attends North Montco Technical Career Center, won the Pennsylvania Youth Suicide Prevention Initiative PSA Contest.
• The PV Science Research Club won a variety of awards for their projects at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Regional Competition, and the Montgomery County Science Research Competition.
• The Perkiomen Valley High School Softball Team won its first District 1-AAAA Championship.
• The Perkiomen Valley High School Envirothon Team finished first and fourth out of 14 teams in the county competition held in spring 2016.
