Jesse( י ש י) Paquin is a rabbinical student at the Academy for Jewish Religion and lives in Tzfat, Israel in the Northern Galilee with his wife Shayna and their seven children. Yishai is learning to become a US Army Chaplain and when he’ s not studying, he works as an adventure guide and takes people climbing, rappelling, and hiking. Yishai is a former US Navy combat photographer. He also supports his wife, Shayna with their non-profit Sparks to Life, providing meals, bomb shelters, and much more in the form of physical and spiritual resilience to the people of Tzfat.
Rabbi Marc Philippe is the spiritual leader of Temple Israel in Manchester, NH, the ancestral land of the Abenaki. He also leads Kodesh House, a center for tending the soul through learning, spirituality and integration.
Rabbi Joseph H. Prouser is rabbi of Temple Emanuel of North Jersey in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, and editor of Masorti: The New Journal of Conservative Judaism.
Dr. Ora Horn Prouser is the CEO and Academic Dean at The Academy for Jewish Religion. She has worked with educational institutions to develop Bible curricula and pedagogy. Her book, Esau’ s Blessing: How the Bible Embraces Those with Special Needs was recognized as a National Jewish Book Council finalist. Her more recent book, Under One Tent: Circus, Judaism, and Bible breaks new ground in the use of movement and circus arts in studying biblical text.
Bex Stern Rosenblatt is the North American Faculty-in-Residence at the Conservative Yeshiva and teaches Tanakh at the Leffell School. She writes weekly for Torah Sparks and has published in Mosaic Magazine. A Fulbright Fellow and Vatichtov alumna, she studied at Bar-Ilan and Williams College.
Rabbi Ariel Russo is the spiritual leader of Congregation Sons of Israel in Nyack, NY where she has led since 2014. She also holds a Master’ s Degree in Education from the William Davidson School of Jewish Education and a pastoral care certificate from the Center for Pastoral Care and Counseling at JTS. In her free time, she loves her Peloton, exploring the Hudson Valley, and spending time with her family.
Rabbi Robert Scheinberg, Ph. D., is the rabbi-in-residence of the Academy for Jewish Religion, the rabbi of United Synagogue of Hoboken, NJ, and a scholar of Jewish liturgy.
Jena Schwartz is a widely published poet and personal essayist, as well as a writing coach who serves as Poet in Residence at the Jewish Community of Amherst. A queer wife and mother, she lives in Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
