Luxurious supervillain armchair made
of gold
Looking to make a statement – then this is the piece for you!
This unique edition, entirely handmade and handcrafted
is truly one-of-a-kind. While it looks like a run-of-the-mill
armchair from the side, from the back it’s a gold skull.
Designed by French artist Harold Sangouard, also known
as Harow this chair seems worthy of apart in one of the
Marvel comic book franchises as it seems the ideal piece for
someone plotting world domination! Handcrafted in Paris, it
is made of reinforced fiberglass with a steel internal frame,
covered in 24-karat gold which is why this piece is priced
at a handsome $500,000.00 for those looking for a cheaper
alternative there is the high gloss black edition.

Keeping it cool
British designer Tom Dixon in collaboration with Caesarstone has
created a kitchen designed to resemble jagged chunks of ice.
As part of a year-long collaboration the first design titled “Ice”
was unveiled at the Interior Design Show in Toronto in January.
Dixon drew inspiration from the jagged pieces of ice left over
when Canada’s frozen lakes are cleared by icebreakers during
the winter.
Seats with sharp geometrical edges are paired with slicksurfaced worktops in bleak shades ranging from Vanilla Noir
to Statuario Nuvo and an appropriately named ‘Melt’ lighting,
create a coldly industrial setting.
Ice kitchen is the first of four kitchens themed around the
elements of Ice, Fire, Earth and Air. The concept also celebrates
local foods from four chosen cities. The next design will be based
on Milan, and will be unveiled in April during the city’s design
week. The final two designs will be revealed later in the year in
North America and Asia.
