A reality like no other
Furniture designer Stelios Mousarris has created “Wave City,” an
amazing coffee table that takes inspiration from the 2010 movie
Inception. In the film Ellen Page’s character folds an entire city
on top of itself while inside a dream and it is this gravity-defying
concept that Stelios has portrayed in his newest creation.
The table looks relatively normal from the top, but beneath it
portrays a mind boggling of a table literally folding onto itself,
complete with intricate buildings of different shapes and sizes.
Made with a balanced mixture of wood, steel and 3D printed
technology the Wave City Coffee Table costs €5,000, which is
considerably less than Nolan’s $160 million budget for making
“Inception,” but sadly Leonardo DiCaprio is not included.
