Olivia
Newton-John’s
Florida Mansion
What was once singer Olivia NewtonJohn’s personal Xanadu has become
a heartbreaker.
Two
years
after
deciding
to
sell her house in Jupiter, FL, Newton-John
still hasn’t found a buyer. With an asking
price of only for $5.5 million the property
has been reduced from the original price
of $6.2 million.
Potential buyers may be turned off by
the horrible suicide on the property
months after the house was put on
the market.
Several reports indicate that actress
and TV show host Rosie O’Donnell had
planned to buy the house for $5.6 million
but withdrew after the suicide.
In order to alleviate any fears of bad mojo,
Newton-John had an exorcism performed
on the property, according to the
Daily Mail.
The 5,500-square-foot house sits on the
shore of the Indian River, and it has a dock
that can support a 50-foot boat. You’re
only minutes away from Juno Beach and
the Atlantic Ocean.
You can’t help but notice that this house
is bright, reflecting Florida’s sunny climate.
The exterior is painted a pastel peach
colour, while the interior is a bright white
from floor to ceiling, which works with
the natural light to illuminate the rooms.
Still Awaits
a Buyer After
Two Years
The living room is inviting, with a vaulted
ceiling, a wall of windows, and French
doors that brighten the room. Walk
through the adjacent dining area and you’ll
find yourself in the kitchen that features a
bar and cabinets made with driftwood
which exude a rustic charm.
A small sitting area is next to the kitchen;
you can use it as a family room or a
breakfast nook. There’s also a full bar,
again made from driftwood. The master
bedroom upstairs has a balcony and a
wonderful sitting area with bay windows
and a view of the river. And you’ll love all
the storage space in the dressing room.
