REGULAR ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Age: 17½- 47 * * Must have entered( M) IOT before 48 th birthday Qualifications
You will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs( or acceptable equivalents) at a minimum of Grade C( Grade 4 with effect from Aug 17), including English Language and Mathematics or Scottish National 5( Grades A – C) in 5 subjects including English Language and Mathematics. The Scottish National 5 Application of Mathematics( AoM)( Grade A-C) or Level 2 Functional Skills are also accepted.
In addition, you must have two A Levels / three Highers at grade C or above( excluding General Studies, Critical thinking and Citizenship Studies), which must total a minimum of 64 UCAS points.
Waivers can be considered for entry should you hold a degree at 2:2 or above, but do not hold the required GCSEs, or any experience or skills deemed desirable in the profession. The requirement for Waivers to be raised will depend on the Service need at the time of the application.

Residency
Whether or not you were born in the United Kingdom, you should normally have resided there for the 5 years immediately preceding your application, but candidates with a minimum of 3 years may be considered. If you have resided abroad for a period within this timeframe, dependant on the circumstances you may still be eligible on a case by case basis.
Nationality
You must be a citizen of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, holder of dual UK / other nationality or have been a Commonwealth citizen since birth( with‘ right to work’ immigration status). Employment restrictions may be Imposed within the Specialisation. Non-British nationals applying for this Specialisation are required to certify that they have been advised of the employment limitations and the consequences of not naturalizing as a British citizen.
Selection
You will be invited to the Officer and Aircrew Selection Centre( OASC) at RAF College Cranwell for the one-day selection process where we will assess your potential for training.
