wareness is important. To be aware not only means knowing the various processes and
practices of the organization, but also the human aspects that drive the people who
implement these processes and practices. Awareness is an all-encompassing activity
and involves both mental and physical activity. This is where the technique and training of
‘MINDFULNESS’ comes in. Read the following pages to know how this technique is transforming HR.
Wellness is more than just achieving good physical health. It involves fi ne-tuning the body to
achieve greater goals and living a more satisfying life. We look at how corporate wellness is driving
employee engagement and how ensuring employee wellness is turning out to be a key HR initiative.
When you use the term ‘Customer is God’, you commit yourself to a culture. What do you do when
you call someone a GOD? You show devotion. That’s why the concept of ‘CUSTOMER DEVOTION ‘is
more of a reality, than an over the top stretch of existing HR concepts. We look at an AUTOWALLA
who has understood this and that too a lot earlier than many HR Guru’s.
CSR is important. We all know that. What we have to know and acknowledge is that CSR can
both be organizational and well as leader driven. Leader driven because Compassion is after all
found in Human Beings.
People and Management has started a series of CONVERSATIONS & DELIBERATIONS. Two of
them were held recently. One was the CHRO roundtable on the topic BOOM OF EVENTS – BOON &
BANE and another was the MARCOM roundtable on CONVERSATION & DELIBERATION. While
the fi rst event deliberated on the plethora of events taking place at the moment, the latter one looked
at Personal Branding and how it leads to better organizations and societies.
