The Pelican Preserve Beacon Group provides information / support , a source of training and social activities for those in our community with low vision or blindness and their caregivers . Gathering allows an opportunity to share information , common vision concerns and needs with friends and neighbors . Professional support is provided by Lighthouse of Southwest Florida ., an accredited nonprofit agency . Pelican Preserve Travel Social Group Pelican Preserve Travel Social Group has been created to share travel wish-lists , travel experiences and travel tips with fellow Pelican neighbors . We are planning fun day trips and multiple day / overnight bus trips . We discuss other travel possibilities , both domestic and abroad , including some AFAR trips , Viking cruises , Carnival cruises , YMT Vacations and more . Being a social group , we plan to meet every other month to get to know one another and to share our experiences over cocktails , dinner or lunch .
