Students identify, observe, describe and analyse characteristics of their own cultural identity and those others (ACARA, 2011c, p.139)

Students develop the necessary skills that will allow them to be able to relate to and move between different cultural groups, by consideringconcepts of new ways such as flexiblity, adaptability, willingness to try new cultural experiences, and empathy

REFLECTING INTERCULTURAL EXPERIENCES AND TAKING RESPONSIBILTY

Students use reflection to better understand the actions of individuals and groups from different cultures, and the actions of their own responses to intercultural encounters, as well as identifying the cultural influences that may have occurred. Through this, students "learn to respect of the human rights of others and the values of democracy, equity and justice" (ACARA, 2011c, p.140).
