Southern Manufacturing & Electronics returns
to Farnborough International in Hampshire
from February 11th to 13th 2020. As in
previous years, the 2020 event will assemble
an impressively wide exhibitor list covering
the full spectrum of engineering activities,
from C-class components to the latest high-
tech machine tools, automation and specialist
subcontract services. Firms from all around
the UK will be participating, along with a
sizeable selection of off-shore exhibitors from
all over Europe, Asia and the Far East.
Farnborough, the birthplace of the British
aerospace industry, occupies a special place
within UK manufacturing. Its geographic
location positions it in the middle of one of
the most important regions for aerospace
manufacture, with nearly a quarter of the UK’s
£35bn aerospace industry situated inside a
50 mile radius, not to mention a significant
assortment of major global aerospace
manufacturers, for example Lockheed Martin,
Gulfstream and Airbus Space & Defence.
