Theta Rho Omega Chapter MERRY CHRISTMAS THETA RHO OMEGA SORORS!! Basileus Message Page 3 YOU ARE AMAZING. Regardless of the weather, personal issues, unforeseen obstacles, you name it, you continue to be busy with our outreach in the South Suburban Community!! No matter if you are at the Jones Community Center’s kitchen or Annual Gala or Penny and Dime Store or if you are at Thornwood High School educating and encouraging graduating seniors. You could be focused on Women’s Health or HBCU’s. You might be assembling back-packs or sewing and sending little dresses to Africa. You might even be judging EAF and or UNA/USA essays. You are often found attending a Leadership or Standards Meeting or attending or leading a Vision Quest planning meeting or a 50 th Anniversary sub-committee or regular meeting-- you are there giving it your all. Behind the scenes or out front-- you are there. You are members of our outstanding committees that are always there working – Membership, Connections, Scholarship, Protocol, Logistics, Technology, Archives and Historian. Many Thanks to the Sweet Sixteens for jumping in and doing whatever they have been asked to do— You too are Wonderful!! To YOU these activities are ALWAYS serious matters—that’s the reason Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorori- ty and Theta Rho Omega Chapter will celebrate 110 th and 50 th Anniversaries respectively. My Personal Thanks to EACH OF YOU for your support and understanding as I’ve struggled with health challenges. Again, Thank You Theta Rho Omega Sorors – YOU ARE THE BEST!! Anti Basileus Message Endings are not bad things - they are a signal that something else is about to begin. That is how I look at the end of 2017. Exciting events are awaiting us in 2018 and hopefully you are about to get on board for all that is promised. Please continue to support the targets that you signed up for earlier this year. With the installation at Boule of our new Madam Supreme, Soror Glenda Baskin Glover, new programs will be introduced which you will be asked to sign up for in September. The present LNDS programs will continue through June of 2018. There is yet work to be done. There is still space on what we hope is a TRO bus headed to Regional in St. Louis on April 5, 2018. Bus is for Sorors only. Do you see yourself as a future TRO officer? To chair or co-chair a committee is a step in the right direction. Consider your strength and give thought to becoming a chairman or co-chairman. Registration for CRC is open. Regular registration ends on February 28 th . A $50.00 late fee is added on March 1 st . Don’t delay in getting registered and securing a hotel. This is also the opening weekend for the St. Louis Cardinals. Merry Christmas My Sisters What shall I wish you for Christmas? This season of joy and delight. The sound of children’s laughter? On a starlit Christmas night? What can I wish you for Christmas? What is the thing you desire? Is it health, wealth, or happiness? Or the warmth of a Christmas fire? What can I wish you for Christmas? To give all the joy I am able? A merry time with good true friends around the fare of a Christmas table? So much I would wish you for Christmas - Yet only my greeting I send - For all I have to offer is the sincere heart of a friend. Merry Christmas My Sisters Soror Jacqueline Brown Program Chairman
