TOMATO BURRATA PLATE APPETIZER
This appetizer is delicious and flexible . Adjust the ingredients to your needs — make as much or as little as required .
Cherry tomatoes , sliced Fresh basil , roughly chopped Dash of sugar Olive oil Salt and pepper , to taste
Burrata ( the creamy texture spreads easily on crostini )
Pesto , store-bought or homemade
Crostini , store-bought ( Pasta & Provisions in Charlotte has excellent crostini ) or you can make your own ( see recipe in box ).
CROSTINI French bread , sliced Olive oil Italian seasoning Salt and pepper , to taste
Brush olive oil on both sides of sliced bread and sprinkle with seasoning . Bake at 300 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes until crispy .
Combine tomatoes , basil , sugar , and olive oil . Season with salt and pepper . Taste and adjust seasoning as needed .
Serve with burrata , pesto , and plenty of crostini .
