Beacon Hill to have the most wonderful pizza at Figs. When the weather was beautiful— about five months out of the year— I would walk to the Public Garden or the Esplanade to get some exercise and fresh air. It was gorgeous. The cherry trees in bloom rivaled DC, and the seasonal plantings in the nation’ s first public garden were stunning— rotations of pansies, tulips and alliums made my heart sing. Boston is a city with so much beauty, history and culture.
This was not the easiest issue to publish, but we are thrilled with the outcome. Liz Caan’ s multilayered interiors beautifully accented with color are a sight for sore eyes. Bek Mitchell-Kidd, contributing editor and partnership director, brilliantly covers the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum, another one of my favorites. This stunning venue is not only a museum but also a garden— a place that should be on everyone’ s bucket list.
Our fabulous entertaining editor, Tamberlyn Dowbrowski, pulls together the perfect ladies’ luncheon. The salmon is delicious and so easy to make. With something for everyone, the menu could be used for a spring night on the terrace, Mother’ s Day or a graduation luncheon. And we are so grateful to our friend Paige Waugh for opening up her lovely home for the photo shoot.
Peachy and Rogie
Lastly, I am excited to be embarking on our fifth anniversary. I am so grateful for my fabulous team and all the amazing readers than make this work. Peachy passed away 25 years ago, but I remember her like we talked yesterday. She would be so proud, and I am happy to continue to share her love of beauty and living an abundant life with all of you. We have great things to come this year!
Cheers!
