From Billy, What are two positive and two negative
ways my friend could use to in his current state of
addiction to drugs?
Thank you for writing in Billy and I am sorry to hear that your friend is addicted to drugs. A
positive way your friend can help himself through his drug addiction is to talk to his close
friends and family about it and to let them help him through it and not to try to do it all by
himself as this can sometimes be too much for someone and it can end up with them taking
more drugs to help their stress.
Another positive way to help with drug addiction is to seek professional help like a doctor to
see if he can prescribe you medicine to help you break your addiction and to go to a
rehabilitation centre to help him get professional help to overcome the addiction.
A negative way to go about him trying to break his addiction is to just go cold turkey and stop
taking the drugs and he would probably create more problems than solutions for himself like
losing sleep and not being able to concentrate because he would be thinking about the
drugs and how hard it would be to stop.
Another Negative way to stop is going onto something else addictive like other drugs,
alcohol and gambling because he would just be swapping out addictions and not really
changing anything.
