The local PCSP have responded to concerns raised by residents in Sion Mills about the ongoing issue of motorists travelling too fast and carelessly through the village by designing and circulating an information leaflet warning against the behaviour.

The leaflet was designed on behalf of Sion Mills Neighbourhood Watch Scheme and was distributed to all homes within the scheme by the Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators. The leaflet encourages motorists to slow down and to be mindful that there are children and older persons out and about in the vicinity.

The PSNI have also responded positively to the campaign by agreeing to carry out additional patrols in the area. Neighbourhood Watch is supported jointly by PSNI and PCSP.
