CHINO VALLEY ANIMAL SHELTER The Chino Valley Animal Shelter (CVAS), located in Chino Valley, Arizona, is a small NO-KILL Animal Shelter. Check out this link for CVAS Petfinder for pictures of dogs and cats ready for adoption. We can accommodate 12 dogs, and although we do not take in cats, we can house four cats in special circumstances. The shelter employs two part-time adoption specialists, one full-time animal control officer, and one part-time animal control officer. Our volunteers are a vital part of the shelter and help with everyday duties, such as cleaning, feeding, walking dogs, and helping with adoption events. Each member of our team, whether paid or volunteer, truly has the best interest of the animals in mind. We pride ourselves on running a clean, well maintained facility. The animals entrusted to our care are valued and loved. Our adoption specialists are tasked with getting the animals ready for adoption, which includes vaccinations, coordinating Vet appointments for spay/neuter/etc., and promoting the dogs & cats through various online pet sites. We always welcome new volunteers and applications can be picked up at the shelter located at 1950 Voss Dr., Chinio Valley, AZ, behind the police station. Because we are operated through the police department, a back ground check is mandatory. Our facility is open Monday through Saturday, 9 am – 2 pm. Our adoption fees range from $25.00 - $108.00, determined by individual expenses incurred. All adopted animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and brought current on vaccinations and rabies shots. Additionally, if the adopter lives in the Town of Chino Valley, a current license is provided in the cost. For more information about location and adoptions, etc., please contact CVAS, Marilu, 928-899-3035. Dog of the Mont
