Next Meetings: • Next Board of Directors Organizational Meeting: Tuesday, January 5 at 6:00 pm Date & Time: Pursuant to Section 7.0 of the POA Bylaws, a General Membership meeting of the Board of Directors was held Wednesday, December 2, at 6:00 PM at the Property Owners Association Activity Center. Officers and Quorum: The President, Ken Jeffries, opened the meeting at 6:00 PM and the Secretary, Brian Biggs, took Minutes. The following additional Board Members were present: Dave Paulin, Don Grad, Mary Kloeppel, Gracelyn Palmer, Don McGlamery, Bob Heise, and Stephen Gonzalez (arrived during the meeting). Minutes: Brian Biggs made a Motion to accept the October 7, 2014 General Membership Meeting Minutes without reading them. The Motion was seconded by Bob Heise and passed unanimously. Treasurer’s Report: Don McGlamery informed the membership that the POA will likely end the year with a surplus of approximately $9,000 due to a higher than anticipated number of resales and conservative spending practices as well as saving about $3,000 since no formal election was required. 2016 Board of Directors Elections: Don Grad reported that Gracelyn Palmer and Mary Kloeppel ran unopposed for the open Director positions, so a formal election was not required. Guest Speaker – Betty Robinson, Executive Director and CEO of CASA Senior Center and Meals on Wheels for our area spoke to the audience regarding the activities of her organization. 928-772-3337, www.casapv.net. •CASA’s yearly budget is raised through about 30% via Prescott Valley government and NACOG grants. The remainder is raised through donations, membership, and sales charges. •Meals on Wheels will have delivered approximately 35,000 meals in 2015. Meals on Wheels drivers are often the only contact that some of the recipients have in a day. The drivers have also saved lives by calling medics during the course of their deliveries. Meals on Wheels can be purchased by calling CASA. • CASAhas 941 members (although membership PG&CC BOARD OF GOVERNOR’S MEETING December 8, 2015 ATTENDEES: Wayne Melquist, Jim Burton, Bob Welborn, Jeanene Welborn, Kevin Kinsey (Grounds Superindendent), Jeff Hall (Owner), Alexa McDade TREASURER’S REPORT: A balance of $239.19 was reported. MINUTES: The November minutes were approved. Correction: Wayne Melquist reported for Perry Hedstrom that the member celebration will be in Feburary 2016 OLD BUSINESS: Wayne reminded members to use their collected script by December 31, 2015 Alexa reported on the Wheel of Fortune. The youngest member is 23 and the oldest is 103. There are 80 members over 90 years old. CASA has one full-time and six part-time employees. Their mission is that no senior goes hungry and no senior lacks for social contact. • Donors can receive a dollar for dollar tax credit by donating to CASA for up to $200 per person. Town Hall •Alexa McDade, Membership Director of the Prescott Golf and Country Club informed the audience that the annual Festival of Lights would be touring the neighborhood on December 10, starting at 6pm. The route will run clockwise around the loop. Residents are encouraged to bring food or money donations to be delivered to the Yavapai Food Bank. The last car will collect donations along the route. An engine from the Central Yavapai Fire Department will be leading the caravan. •Andy Kollmer, past president, thanked the Board for volunteering for the community. Adjournment: Dave Paulin made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:32pm. The motion was seconded by Mary Kloeppel and the meeting was adjourned. until 12-­31-­15. The Pro Shop will be hosting the game. Jeff Hall reported the flag pole light is now working. NEW BUSINESS: Jim Burton reported of a break in the swimming pool equipment room. Damage was reported to the police. Jeff Hall reported on office equipment was damaged also. Kevin Kinsey discussed the purchase of two new mowers.The new mowers should prevent large clumps of grass left on the course. Jeff Hall is researching the possibility of artificial grass or cement pads with rubber mats on the range closest to the club house. A new microphone has bee
