Kimberly Rommel Enright
by Lynne Poirier
By day, Kim Rommel Enright is a Supervising Attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach
County where she works in the Pro Bono Department. In addition to her role in the Pro Bono
Department, Kim has been a longtime advocate and activist in the HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ communities.
Kim helps the less fortunate and makes a difference in so many lives, which she’s been doing
with love and care in her heart for the past 27 years. Bob Bertisch, Executive Director for Legal
Aid describes Kim as “passionate and deeply committed voice for the most disadvantaged and
vulnerable members in our community by ensuring them meaningful access to our judicial system.”
Born in Delaware, Kim moved to Palm Beach County with her family in 1972. She’s a
graduate of Jupiter Christian High School, Florida Atlantic University and received her JD
degree from Nova Southeastern Law School. If you know Kim, you know her favorite food
is Lobster and her favorite thing to drink is Coke Zero. Kim’s favorite movie is Gone with
the Wind and of all the shows she’s produced through the years, her favorite is Tarzan.
With a busy legal career and being a wife, and mother of two daughters, Kim still finds time for
her passion for the theatre. Kim established KWP Productions in 2011 where she served as the
Managing Director producing shows that included Little Women, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Beauty and
the Beast and Tarzan just to name a few. Most of the actors were local school aged children. Many
of which have gone on to successful careers in New York City as well as Disney! Kim is currently
the Artistic Director and President of the Board for the local nonprofit theater, Maplewood
Playhouse which produces adult plays and musicals as well as producing children’s theater
through Maplewood’s Young Arts Conservatory. The Young Arts Conservatory promotes theatrical
opportunities for young people in Palm Beach County. They are currently working on Disneys
Frozen, Jr. Kim’s passion for the arts is what makes her our Member Spotlight for the month.
