Molly was just four years old when she turned blind, she was then later diagnosed with a disease called retinitis pigmentosa which is a disease that affects the retina. Retinitis pigmentosa causes to break down the photoreceptor cells (cells in the retina that detect light). molly started speaking publicly at the age of 5. As time went on and molly’s vision disappeared her confidence and optimism only grew. When molly was a student, she was bullied and mocked because she was blind. soon after she than became depressed and struggle with a mental illness.
over the past years Molly has already shared the We Day stage with Larry King, Demi Lovato, Macklemore, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Hadfield, Magic Johnson, Martin Luther King III, Martin Sheen and Mia Farrow. She was also a reporter on the Orange Carpet for the 2013 Halo Awards.
