Ashley was born into parents who could not take care of her. At the age of six months ashley was in the hospital fighting HIV, it then turned into aids. a few years later she was then placed into foster care, and her foster parents were told Ashley only had a few weeks to live. But after taking Ashley home, her health began to improve.

Today, january 2016, Ashley is now a thriving 16-year old girl. who loves music, singing, acting, and decorating her bedroom with photos of the Eiffel Tower. She has nine siblings, which most of them have special needs and are also adopted and or fostered. Ashley is an active volunteer, she is determined not to let any challenges she faces stand in her way. She really is passionate about bring down the stigma around HIV. Ashley has been recognized as a Rotary International Paul Harris fellow because of her ongoing fundraising efforts for the AIDS Committee of Durham Region, and has been featured in numerous media outlets with her family including Canadian Living Magazine and CTV News.
