ou have to love living in a country where you
can celebrate some holidays twice in one
year! During my time as a PCV in Macedonia, I
have had four Christmases and four New Year’s
celebrations in just two years. How? By celebrating
Christmas, Dec. 25th (U.S. date) AND Jan. 7th
(Macedonian date) plus the “new” New Year’s
arrival at midnight Dec. 31st (both countries)
AND the “old”
