since coming to Macedonia. Many of you
may already be familiar with them.Most of the
descriptions are directly from the sites, and
many of these sites offer additional links.
Academic Training Association (ATA) is an
independent not-for-profit foundation. The projects
support the ongoing processes of transition and
reconstruction in post-conflict societies. (They have
a number of projects in Balkan countries and in
Macedonia. Went to a recent workshop of theirs and
they are opening a small business center in Bitola.)

is a private business promotion and development
organization that strives to foster cooperation among
its members and to advance commercial and economic
relations between the United States and Macedonia,

Associates in 1994 under a grant from the U.S. Agency

Euro-Balkan Institute’s mission is to advocate, concert
and disseminate the EU principles and values in
Republic of Macedonia and to promote transatlantic

(http://europa.eu). It provides up-to-date coverage
of European Union affairs and essential information
on European integration. Users can also consult all
legislation currently in force or under discussion,

Treaties.

information on Macedonia, Macedonian hotels,
restaurants, agencies, including off-the-beaten-track
tours like rock art tours, various Balkan tours, cave

information on Macedonia events, concerts, cultural
and historical tours, especially about Ohrid and Ohrid
Lake, Mavrovo and other less known but exquisite
places.
