The Hidden Sun Gabriella DeMaine- 8th grade
Behind the thickness of the trees, the sun does hide, A bright golden light upon other side. Its glow hard to find, Lost in the leaves, the branches hide. The shadows grow, they quickly creep, But still, know the sun is there, Waiting for the moment to rise. Though clouds may cover and winds may blow, The light always will find a way to show. Each branch blockage, a silent enemy, But light will break through the doubt, and joy will create. Through every cloud, through every detour, Wait and see the silent movements. So soon, the sun will show its shine, And light will rise, and hearts will fatten. Though it was hidden, your sun will show.
