Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Pulmonary rehabilitation, or rehab, is
an outpatient program for people with
chronic lung diseases like COPD. The
program includes both exercise and
education. A multidisciplinary team
of exercise physiologists, respiratory
therapists, dietitians, nurses, and
pharmacists will help you to learn more
about: Your exercise tolerance should improve
along with your ability to do everyday
activities. By combining exercise
with education as well as support, a
pulmonary rehab program can help you
cope with the challenges that arise with
COPD. Your sense of well-being will
increase and you can begin to live a
healthier life.
