Catherine Gallagos, breeder and owner of Generous (pictured above), was one of four breeders in the US selected to breed to Totilas his first year standing at stud, she talked to us about her experience breeding to Totilas in 2011. With no semen brokers for Totilas at the time, getting the frozen semen in to the US was a trying experience. Since the dam of generous is a dark bay, Catherine fully expected a black foal and was shocked at the resulting bright chestnut who received Totilas' red recessive gene! The dark bay colt is out of a Riverman mare.
