Donnerhall - Oldenburg Florestan I - Westphalian How can one possibly find the words for a stallion like Donnerhall? Another great horse coming from the 1980's, the chocolate chestnut stallion danced his way into our hearts and remains there still. A prolific sire of outstanding dressage horses, Florestan I has sired more than 1,000 registered broodmares with 190 being awarded the coveted States Premium title. He is also sired an more than 80 licensed sons, including the famous dressage performer and sire: Fidermark. As a sire, Donnerhall sired 77 approved sons and 84 States Premium mares. His genetics are still proving themselves in the competitive arena through the stallion Damon Hill, among many others. Donnerhall offspring are known for being quick learners with wonderful dispositions. Unfortunately, frozen semen for Donnerhall is not available, making his remaining sons even more precious. Florestan I carries the important genes of Furioso II and is considered to be a stamping sire. It is considered that some of his best crosses are on mares with heavy Thoroughbred breeding.
