I don’t edit pre-recorded music any differently for a regional rider or an international one. All freestyles which are cut and spliced from pre-existing recordings relate to the horse in the same way, no matter your riding level or ambitions. This is not to say that the process is inferior or in any way impacts your results. For these freestyles, the quality of music editing and engineering makes all the difference and there’s no substitute for university music education; between us, my sound engineer and I hold 5 degrees in music. I just finished a Michael Jackson freestyle for a child rider and pony at First Level and I believe the quality of editing would be competitive internationally with a high performance rider!
