PHSC was honored to have Florida College System Foundation board member Tim Morris visit the West Campus to present a donation for student scholarships aimed at relieving the nursing shortage and helping students who are the first in their families to attend college . The generous gift from the Florida College System Foundation will provide funding for the Florida Blue Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship , the Helios Education Foundation First Generation Scholars Program and the Bank of America Dream Makers Scholarship .
Foundation board member Brandon May generously contributed to the PHSC General Scholarship Fund . May will serve on the Executive Board as the member at large this year .
The Gary L . Blackwell Foundation continued its investment in PHSC with a generous gift designated to the Gary L . Blackwell Charitable Foundation Scholarship . This gift , along with matching funds , will provide up to ten scholarships during the 2023-2024 academic year .
The local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma continues to transform the lives of students through their annual scholarship . Established in 2001 , the Dr . Marion Bullock / Delta Kappa Gamma Key Women Educators Scholarship has provided nearly $ 14,000 in scholarship funding to students pursuing a career in education .

The Rotary Club of Seven Springs has been a partner of the PHSC Foundation since 1996 and continues to advance the mission of the College through their generosity . Most recently , they provided a gift to the Rotary Club of Seven Springs William ( Bill ) Van Sickle Memorial Scholarship .
Former PHSC administrators Dr . Donna Burdzinski and Ken Burdzinski continue to positively impact the lives of students through the Burdzinski / Epperson Scholarship .
Nursing students continue to benefit from the support of the Janis L . Hill Scholarship . The generosity of Janis ’ family has provided scholarships for six students during the 2023-2024 academic year .
Doris Contento provided a generous gift to the Roy T . and Martha B . Hardy Endowed Scholarship Fund .
In loving memory of their parents , Joan Kohout and Carol Miglino continue to support PHSC students through the Henry Kohout , Jr . Scholarship and the Mary E . Kohout , R . N . Scholarship .
David Eisenberg made a generous contribution to aviation program scholarships , giving students the opportunity to pursue their educational goals .
HCA Florida Healthcare recently provided a gift to the HCA Florida Trinity Hospital Annual Scholarship . Their support has provided scholarships for four nursing students during the 2023-2024 academic year .
The Deputy Conor Schmelter Memorial Scholarship will support students in the law enforcement academy thanks to the generosity of Conor ’ s family and friends .
In memory of his wife , David Thomson continues to invest in PHSC students through the Janet G . Thomson Scholarship . This fund has provided 22 scholarship awards since its establishment in 2012 .
