What influenced your decision to attend PHSC ? Affordability and proximity influenced my decision to attend PHSC . I wanted to attend college without having to worry about going into debt , and when I looked up PHSC ’ s tuition , I knew that I wanted to apply there .
What are you studying ?
I am currently completing my AA to transfer into a business-related major . I am close to finishing all my prerequisites .
What is your fondest PHSC memory ?
My fondest PHSC memory has to be attending oncampus events with my friends . During the spring and fall semesters , I participated with my friends in a painting activity , and we brought our projects to our homes .
Is there someone at PHSC who you admire and why ?
I admire Dr . Danita Hiles who was my professor for public speaking on West Campus . Her passion and dedication to her profession are admirable ; every single one of my classmates felt the same way about her as I do . When I finish my degree and enter the workforce , I wish to be as passionate as Dr . Hiles is about teaching .
What did receiving this PHSC Foundation scholarship mean to you ?
This PHSC Foundation scholarship means freedom to me . I do not worry about paying for my textbooks because the aid that I received through this scholarship covers them . I am not stressed about money to succeed in my classes , thanks to the PHSC Foundation .
What does the future hold for you ?
I believe that the future holds financial freedom for me . My dedication to my studies and to my profession , alongside the help I received from this Foundation scholarship , will help me reach that point .
Why do you think philanthropy matters ?
I believe philanthropy matters because there will always be someone in need . At the same time , there will always be someone who possesses more resources than the average person . Out of the latter kind , there exist many people with generous hearts who are willing to aid others in desperate need of help in life .
Would you like to say anything to those who make scholarship opportunities happen for the students of PHSC ?
I am truly grateful to have been chosen as a scholarship recipient . I will remember your generosity my entire life because of the huge impact it had on it .
