Softball

The Women ’ s softball team , led by head coach Jeri Loffler , is tied for second place in the Sun-Lakes Conference with a 5-4 record , two games behind St . Johns River State College . Valeria Rolon was named FCSAA DII Softball Player of the Week for February 29 . Rolon batted . 909 , getting 10 hits in 11 at-bats .

Flag Football

PHSC has garnered attention and praise for the formation of the women ’ s Flag Football team , representing one of the fastest-growing college sports in the U . S . Led by head coach Madison Burr , the team ’ s talent and enthusiasm is evident in related media coverage . Soccer

The women ’ s soccer team , under second-year coach Mark Leonard , concluded the season with a 0-7-2 record and a 0-2-2 performance in the twoteam conference . Despite tying twice with Pensacola State , the team fell short in the other two matches , leading Pensacola State to advance to the district playoff . Several players , including Madison Oliver , Marley Spate , Nemesis Arroyo , Maya Hinz and Haley Chase , were named to the Division II All-NJCAA Region 8 team .

Baseball

The men ’ s baseball team currently leads the Sun-Lakes Conference with a 7-2 record and is the two-time defending conference regular season champion . The Bobcats are led by fifth-year coach Lyndon Coleman , who entered the season with a 219-125-1 coaching record . The winner of the 30-game season will host the conference tournament that runs May 2-5 . Sophomore Aidan Corn leads the team with a . 378 batting average , followed by University of Florida transfer Chris Arroyo at . 333 . Gabriel Garcia leads the pitching staff with a 3-1 record and 1.83 era , followed by Michael Savarese , who is 4-2 with a 3.03 .

Basketball

The men ’ s basketball team , currently led by first-year head coach Nick O ’ Neill , holds a 1-8 record after the first half of the season . Tyson Maxam and Xavier Gordon-Somers lead the team in scoring , averaging 12.4 and 12.2 points , respectively . Gordon-Somers also leads in rebounds with 51 through nine Tyson Maxam games . Conference play in the Sun-Lakes Conference began on January 17 , with the conference tournament set for March 1-2 at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth . Gordon-Somers was named to the DII All-FCSAA / All-Region 8 basketball team . The men ’ s basketball season ended in the FCSAA DII / NJCAA Region 8 Championship semi-finals to Florida State College at Jacksonville , 107-56 . FSCJ went on to win the championship over Florida Gateway College .
