Baseball

The men ’ s baseball team came to a head this season , winning their third consecutive regular season title , entering them into the All-Sun-Lakes Conference Tournament as the first seed . The team ended their season with an impressive 33-22 record .
Sophomore pitcher , first base and outfield player Chris Arroyo was a major contributor to the team ’ s victory , earning himself multiple awards , such as the All-Sun-Lakes Conference and DII All- FCSAA / All-NJCAA Region 8 ’ s Player of the Year . Arroyo additionally broke the record as PHSC ’ s single-season home run leader .
Freshman pitcher Michael Savarese was also crucial to the team ’ s success . Savarese earned awards such as the All-Sun-Lakes Conference and DII All-FCSAA / All-NJCAA Region 8 ’ s Pitcher of the Year . Sophomore pitcher Aidan Corn also broke several records , the main record being PHSC ’ s single season hits record .
As a result of the hard work and dedication of the team , they had several athletes named to honors :
• DII FCSAA All-Tournament Team : Aidan Corn and Chris Arroyo
• DII All-FCSAA / All-NJCAA Region 8 : Aidan Corn , Eddiel Tolentino , Chris Arroyo , Josh Cone and Michael Savarese
• DII All-Region 8 Gold Glove Team : Luke Dickerson and Eddiel Tolentino
• All-Sun-Lakes Conference First-team : Jake D ’ Altrui , Aidan Corn , Eddiel Tolentino , Chris Arroyo , Josh Cone and Michael Savarese
• All-Sun-Lakes Conference Second-team : Dariel Castillo , Luke Dickerson , Dylan Degusipe and Chris Arroyo

Academic Honors

PHSC ’ s athletic department had 57 student-athletes make the FCSAA All-Academic Team with grade points of 3.30 or higher . This included six student-athletes with 4.0s .
