PHSC ’ s spring 2024 commencement season signified a new beginning for both our spring graduates and Jesse Pisors , Ed . D ., who presided over the ceremonies for the first time as president . “ There is nothing more joyful and inspiring in higher education than watching students celebrate the completion of their degrees at a commencement ceremony ,” said Pisors . On May 1 and 2 , PHSC hosted the spring commencement and nurse pinning ceremonies at West Campus for students who earned a certificate , an Associate in Arts , Associate in Science , Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science .

The ceremonies hosted several speakers , including trustees , faculty members , alumni and student speakers . Student speaker Chloe Colon-Moore left the audience in awe with her inspiring speech , delivered in American Sign Language ( ASL ), as she discussed the challenges and sacrifices she faced at the beginning of her college journey . Despite the many hurdles she experienced , the friendships and lifelong connections she made along the way left a tremendous impact on her as they became her second family .
The 2024 spring commencement season marked a special and unforgettable experience for our new Alumni class and Jesse Pisors . Excitement and a sense of a new beginning filled the air as inspiring speeches echoed through the halls , concluding a season to remember .
