North Campus Dedication Honors Donor ’ s Generosity
The PHSC Foundation recently recognized the significant impact the Hernando Healthcare Foundation ( HHF ) has made at the College and in the lives of students pursuing a career in healthcare . During the North Campus 50th Anniversary campus event , the Foundation celebrated the naming of the Hernando Healthcare Foundation Administrative Building recognizing the support HHF has provided over the years , totaling more than $ 1 million .

Since 2010 , the contributions of HHF have provided nearly 800 scholarship awards totaling over $ 571,000 . Additionally , HHF has provided funding to purchase state-of-the-art equipment as well as staff training for the health programs at PHSC .
The ceremony not only recognized the dedication of the Hernando Healthcare Foundation Administrative Building but also the renaming of the Nursing Lab , originally named in honor of Hernando Healthcare in 2013 . In memory of a long-time and dedicated board member of Hernando Healthcare Foundation , the Gail Samples Health Occupations Suite will continue to serve and provide learning opportunities for PHSC nursing and healthcare students at North Campus .
