Community Partner Continues Investment in Health Programs at PHSC
The shortage of well trained and equipped nurses in today ’ s world continues to be a challenge that many institutions continue to face . Because of community partners like the Hernando Healthcare Foundation ( HHF ), PHSC has the opportunity to lessen these challenges . HHF ’ s recent contribution will provide scholarship support to health program students as well as funding for innovative equipment to complement student ’ s training in simulated clinical settings .
Due to their generosity and investment in PHSC since 2010 totaling more than $ 1 million , the Foundation recently celebrated the naming of the Hernando Healthcare Foundation Administrative Building at the North Campus in their honor . The dedication ceremony was held on Saturday , March 18 during the North Campus 50th Anniversary event .
We are grateful for the Hernando Healthcare Foundation for their continued support of the College and for advancing high-quality health care in our communities and beyond .

Suncoast Credit Union Transforms Lives through Education
Suncoast Credit Union has continued to Transform Lives and Invest in Tomorrow to make a difference in the lives of PHSC students . Since 2001 , Suncoast Credit Union has given more than $ 318,000 to support PHSC initiatives . Most recently , Suncoast Credit Union gave $ 60,000 to sponsor PHSC ’ s annual All College Day , a professional development day for faculty and staff , as well 50th Anniversary campus events . Additionally , the funding provided will support student scholarships , the College Reach Out Program ( CROP ), and the Bobcat Pantries which provide food assistance to students in need .
In recognition of their continued support , the Academic Success Centers at the West Campus , East Campus , and Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch will be named in honor of Suncoast Credit Union .
Suncoast ’ s continued investment and partnership allows the Foundation to advance the mission of PHSC and our gratitude for their support over the years is immeasurable .
