SUNCOAST CREDIT UNION INCREASES SUPPORT FOR PHSC
Traditionally , Suncoast Credit Union is a strong
supporter of PHSC campus events including presenting sponsorship of the employee professional development day , All College Day . For the 2020-2021 academic year , this community partner has provided unprecedented levels of support for PHSC students , employees and programs . Suncoast Credit Union has donated $ 75,000 in 2020 alone with an additional $ 50,000 facilitated in matching donations to amplify their impact to the College .
Suncoast Credit Union donations will support up to 65 students through scholarships this year . The donation will furthermore facilitate professional development for faculty and staff through All College Day sponsorship . Additionally , Suncoast Credit Union ’ s gifts will enrich pre-collegiate programming through sponsorship of the College Reach Out Program , Centers of Excellence and National Achiever ’ s Society . Finally , the organization provided emergency relief for students impacted by the pandemic through the Support Our Students ( SOS ) Emergency Relief Fund .
Recognizing Suncoast Credit Union ’ s continued philanthropic community support , the organization was honored by the Nature Coast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals ( AFP ) for their 2020 National Philanthropy Day Philanthropic Corporation of the Year . As a force for education within our community , Suncoast Credit Union ’ s commitment to Pasco and Hernando counties is unwavering . The PHSC Foundation is a proud member of AFP and fully supports Suncoast Credit Union ’ s award .
