Hernando Healthcare Foundation , Inc .’ s partnership first to reach $ 1 million
Last fall , the Hernando Healthcare Foundation
( HHF ), Inc . made a $ 250,000 commitment to
Hernando County ’ s PHSC health students and programs . This dedication elevates their cumulative giving to $ 1 million dollars . In just ten years of giving , the Hernando Healthcare Foundation , Inc . becomes the first foundation to reach this milestone for the PHSC Foundation .
The current HHF commitment includes $ 70,000 designated for 2020-2021 scholarships and airway simulation equipment for North Campus EMS students . The simulation equipment will ensure that paramedic students can practice airway management and tracheal intubation skills in a simulated clinical environment .
The contributions provided by Hernando Healthcare Foundation , Inc . this year furthermore maximized several matching challenges . An additional $ 65,000 in funding was made possible for the PHSC Foundation to support students and programs at the College this year alone .
The collaboration between Pasco-Hernando State College and the Hernando Healthcare Foundation , Inc . continues to make a meaningful impact on the future of health care for Hernando County . Recognizing the current conditions inflicted from the COVID-19 pandemic , educating and graduating skilled front-line health workers is significant . The Pasco-Hernando State College Foundation is proud to facilitate providing revolutionary equipment and financial support to our students and health care in the community .
