The Periodontal Health Center recently provided two dental hygiene scholarships for the 2017 semester totaling $ 1,000. Since the Periodontal Health Center Annual Scholarship was established in 2010, $ 7,000 has been awarded in scholarships to benefit dental hygiene students at PHSC.
The Brooksville Garden Club has donated $ 1,000 to their scholarship endowment. Established in 1990, the Brooksville Garden Club Scholarship has financially assisted 17 students totaling more than $ 8,000.
The Delta Gamma Chapter of the International Society for Key Women Educators Delta Kappa Gamma recently contributed $ 1,100 to the Dr. Marion Bullock / Delta Kappa Gamma – Key Women Educators Scholarship. Established in 2011 in honor of Dr. Marion Bullock, an employee of PHSC from 1988 to 2006, this annual scholarship has assisted seven PHSC students.
The PHSC Foundation received a $ 1,300 contribution toward the Voiture Locale 1576, 40 / 8 Scholarship. This scholarship is one of four endowments established by Voiture Locale 1576, 40 / 8 which benefit PHSC nursing students.
Take Stock in Children Hernando County was selected as a 2017 grantee from the Capital City Bank Group Foundation. The Spring Hill location of Capital City Bank chose to support this mentoring program for deserving at-risk youth with a grant of $ 250, which will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, and support pre-paid scholarships.
CareerSource Pasco-Hernando continued its investment in education by renewing a $ 1,500 contribution to the Dr. Katherine M. Johnson Annual Scholarship. The donation will provide for up to 3 scholarships for non-traditional students seeking a PHSC education.
