What influenced your decision to attend PHSC? I chose PHSC because it offers a program that helps me maintain my commercial pilot’ s license, which is important for my career. The campus also seemed welcoming and upbeat.
What are you studying? I’ m studying Professional Pilot Technology to earn my Associate in Science degree and work toward a career as a commercial pilot.
What is your fondest PHSC memory? My fondest PHSC memory is my first day of class and realizing I was finally starting the journey I had dreamed of for so long. I remember feeling deeply grateful to PHSC and the Foundation for making it possible.
Is there someone at PHSC that you admire and why? I admire Eddie Williams, Ed. D., and Ron McCullough for their positive energy and genuine desire to help others. Working alongside them showed me the value of mentorship, perseverance and staying focused, no matter the obstacles.
What did receiving this PHSC Foundation scholarship mean to you? Receiving the PHSC Foundation scholarship meant everything to me. It was a powerful reminder of hope and support. Flight training is one of the most expensive educational paths, and this scholarship helped lift a huge financial burden off my shoulders. It allowed me to keep pushing forward even when things got tough.
More than just financial help, it was also emotional encouragement. It reminded me that all my hard work from late nights studying, maintaining my GPA and pushing through major setbacks was being recognized and valued. Sometimes, we forget to celebrate how far we’ ve come, and this scholarship reminded me that I’ m on the right path. Additionally, even when I stumble, it motivates me to keep going and aim higher.
What does the future hold for you? This scholarship has given me a strong foundation to build a successful future in aviation. With this support, I’ m confident in my ability to keep pushing forward and achieve my goals no matter the challenges ahead.
